Review of Slacker Uprising (2007) by David B — 29 Sep 2008
Michael Moore is a great American. This doc takes me right back to 2004. In a way, it is really sad. B/c we all worked so hard to get that embarrassment of a President removed from office, and it was a huge letdown when we failed. We warned you of the consequences of 4 more years of Bush. Well, take a look around today. I hope everyone who voted Bush is standing tall and proud now. You really did a great service to your country. We're even worse off than 2004. President Bush will leave office as the worst President in American history. And America is a mess.
Well, the battle was lost, but the war rages on. This year, the "slacker generation" is even bigger and more determined than ever to right all the wrongs that the last 8 years have brought to this great country. This doc serves as another reminder that our work is not done.
I even went to see Mr. Moore on that tour in 2004. This is basically the highlight reel of the tour, packed with great cameos like Eddie Vedder, R.E.M., and Tom Morello to name a few. And a few attempts at censorship that only conservatives could stomach. It really brings you right back to the heat of what was the 2004 election.
And inspires you to finish the job in 2008. VOTE....and VOTE OBAMA.
Very enjoyable doc.
