Review of Slacker (1990) by Jack F — 14 Oct 2007
One of the great debut features and a defining film of the 90's. Slacker introduced the unique, wonderful Richard Linklater with a freewheeling series of startling episodes starring an assortment of Austin eccentrics.
Each scene is charming in its own way, but Linklater switches up his presentation to keep it interesting. A companion piece to his other masterpiece, "Waking Life.".
