Review of Slacker (1990) by Brian L — 20 Nov 2007
Richard Linklater's debut directorial debut is really a love-it-or-hate-it film. To me, it's a highly uncompromising indie. It doesn't have no conventional plot and story. It's a series of scenes with a bunch of over-educated and unproductive people fooling around.
The characters are deliberately constructed, not developed. The actors speaks as if to themselves. I have never seen anything like it.
