Review of Slacker (1990) by Brandon S — 01 Jun 2008
Richard Linklater's directorial debut is a fun, plotless smorgasbord of early 90s counter culture and it's many zany personalities. Lots of dialogue and 5-10 minutes with each character until the camera seems interested in the person they walk past, then it notices something intriguing about the house this person just walked past and asks, "why cheat ourselves when there could be something interesting inside? What would it really hurt to take a peek?".
