Review of Slacker (1990) by Brian C — 23 Apr 2012
One of the ultimate love-it-or-hate it indies. I love it. It's a collage of the lives of several fascinating, often downright bizarre individuals who are probably more real than put-off viewers would want to admit.
The structure and pacing are certainly jarring, but it's so full of wonderful little moments that it becomes hypnotic. A great debut from one of the more versatile directors working today.
