Review of Slacker (1990) by Bradley P — 31 Oct 2013
More talk and less action is what Slacker is all about, so do not bother investing your time and effort into watching (and understanding) the ideas that Director Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused) presents.
That being said, I would compare Slacker to that of a great party and walking into several different great conversations. It jumps from conversation to conversation after a decent amount of character and/or story is developed each time.
This is a food for thought film that was shot on a very modest budget and is absolutely unique if you're not expecting explosions. A great food-for-thought type of film.
