Review of Slacker (1990) by Jdia P — 17 Apr 2009
Film brings up a lot of what you won't hear said in regular media- a lot of outsiders' perspectives on society and government, what's wrong mostly, because it's being perpetrated by completely different types of people.
There is a thread to it, really. If it doesn't make any sense, possibly this is because it brings up concepts that most people have never been exposed to or thought about themselves. What is unrecognizable is for all intensive purposes invisible and this film brings out a lot of what those who have not think and talk about in quite everyday lives.
A cheap film to shoot but one that makes a statement about society as a whole and not a very flattering one.
