Review of Slacker (1990) by Edgar C — 02 Jun 2013
A suburban collage of improvisation and rebellious eloquence, we constantly shift from one interconnected anecdote to the next one, some irrelevant, others reflective, all of them interesting. Linklater's debut is also his best film. His "modern American Graffiti" with the youth stamp and musical influence can be seen still today, even if it involves the exaggerated facial expressions of Jack Black.
97/100.
