Skyline was sadly and horribly predictable, and felt it was nothing more than Independence Day meets War of the Worlds. The aliens reminded me of the Sentinel machines from the Matrix trilogy as well as their modus operandi for the humans.
Eric Balfour even tried a Keanu Reeves/Neo rendition and failed. I would only give 1 star but gave 2 for some decent effects and for decent action sequences when the actors were actually running from the aliens.
