Review of Skyline (2010) by Mark C — 23 Sep 2011

I'm usually one to agree with the majority of critics but this is one of the rare times I don't. Sure, it's extremely derivative, has bad dialogue and two-dimensional characters but it's also a hell of a lot of fun! The Strauss Brothers' previous film was the execrable Aliens versus Predator: Requiem but with this film, they have redeemed themselves somewhat in my eyes.

I'm not just talking about the impressive effects. There is a genuinely thrilling sense of menace and good pacing. An above average popcorn popper.
