Review of Skyline (2010) by Neil M — 25 Mar 2012
The opinions I've heard of "Skyline" from friends and critics has been overwhelmingly negative. I disagree, having just watched it, I found it a very entertaining, tense piece of popcorn entertainment.
There are moments of real beauty during the destruction, some strong ideas, an attractive cast, including a memorable turn by David Zayas of "Dexter" and, most importantly, the aliens, with their tentacles, insectoid look and glowing blue light, are very cool.
An underrated entertainer.
