Review of Skyline (2010) by Robin D — 08 Nov 2012
This movie serves as a perfect example of how no amount of acting or special effects can compensate for a terrible concept. I say that because just about every facet of this film is solid in terms of cinema.
The acting is very good, the effects are superb, the plot develops well, decent dialogue, etc. The problem is, the foundation of the story is terrible. Aliens that are essentially indestructible and are somehow powered by human brains.
Then when they are destroyed their giant blue orb of light somehow puts everything back together? I'm sorry but no amount of suspension of disbelief can get me through that sequence. Honestly, don't waste your time with it.
