Review of Skyfall (2012) by Jason L — 10 Mar 2015
Probably the BEST Bond movie EVER. The story never slows, and the reboot of characters (with the exception of Craig) was long overdue. Only Whishaw's Q was substandard. Naomie Harris was incredible as Moneypenny, bringing the generally overlooked character out from behind the desk, and into the 21st Century where women are empowered.
The sexual tension between Moneypenny and Bond is undeniable, and adds a whole new dynamic to the franchise. Mallory will be an excellent new M, as the Judi Dench tenure had run its course. Silva played by Javy Bardem will go down as one of the best Bond villians ever, and rightfully so.
He is truly creepy in the role. If the next film, Spectre, comes close to Skyfall, Daniel Craig may be considered the best James Bond ever.
