Review of Skyfall (2012) by Landon M — 07 May 2014
One of my favorite action films, my favorite Bond movie, and one of my personal favorite movies ever. There are few movies that I can say I loved almost every scene. Every single scene adds either the charm of the actors, the phenomenal writing, or the intense directing that never loses your focus.
It starts out intense, and just builds up to one of the most suspenseful second half's of a movie I have ever seen. Sure, no movie is perfect, but Sam Mendes did a phenomenal job at making as perfect of a Bond movie as possible.
Everyone is fantastic, highlighting Daniel Craig as Bond and Judi Dench as M, who give the best performances as the characters to date. Javier Bardem portrays my favorite Bond villain of all time, who combines charm with sadistic insanity.
As a movie, Casino Royale is probably the "better" movie, but I would take Skyfall over CR anyday. I love Skyfall, and will continue to love it forever. 10/10.
