Review of Sky High (2005) by Ross L — 13 Jun 2009
Even though "Sky High" is a kid-friendly X-Men knockoff, the movie is still entertaining and enjoyable. The movie is about Will Stronghold's (Michael Angarano) dealing with being a kid with no powers in a high school for kids with powers.
While the plot may not be the most original, it's still good in a campy kind of way. I really liked the casting of the movie. You've got Bruce Campbell, Lynda Carter, Kevin "Landfill" Heffernan, Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, and my favorite, the beautiful Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
The movie's pretty funny and the special effects are pretty solid. I enjoyed the movie more than I expected to.
