Review of Sky High (2003) by Anthony L — 05 Mar 2007
One of Kitamura's better films, in my opinion, Sky High really shows his growth as a filmmaker. Where as some of his earlier work (including Versus, which I love) are simple basic storylines but become muddled, unfocused messes, this film takes a complicated, potentially dull and muddled storyline and turns it into a solid and comprehensive supernatural action thriller.
Definitely on a par with the directors best works.
