Stupid, stupid film. neither jude law, gwyneth paltrow, angelina jolie or giovanni ribisi can save this ship from sinking. I disliked the CGI effects, although it is a big breakthrough in the manner of digital film making, the film doesn't really seem to express the dangers it needs to, to engage the audience.

the end scene starts off ridiculous, becomes stupid then finishes the film in a triumphant way. too bad the rest of the film isn't much of a triumph. the acting was okay, the action was boring and/or dodgy, and some of the storyline just made me wince.
