Review of Ski School (1991) by Carl T — 02 Apr 2005
We saw this film months AFTER seeing Ski School 2, and with such a huge love for #2, we were very nervous about seeing its predecessor. However, even knowing that Dave Marshack might be the only character in this one, we still went into it hoping that it would be as good as its sequel...
It's great. In fact, it's a little more complex than #2; far more serious villains, a few more cheesy characters, dialogue not quite as good, and far more drug and alcohol indused than #2. However, as good as it is, I am still a bigger fan of the second of the series. SS2 has Brent Sheppard & Wendy Hamilton in it, and those two really make SS2 so great.
Overall, both films are great, but only SS2 is in my top ten, this one is somewhere just out of that list, but still better than any of the other ski comedies or any other comedies around really.
