Review of Sket (2011) by Arif B — 11 Mar 2012
If only this film had better written characters it might have been held in the class with Kidulthood, Sugar House, 4 3 2 1 and the like. With the most unbelievable lead character I've ever seen and a rat pack of teenage girls whos soul mission is to seek revenge on womanizers, this goes down as one of the worst the UK has to offer.
Also, when a director uses the same segway or setup shot for the next scene more than 5 times I get the feeling they don't have much too say about the script. Sound editor might want to tone the music down as well.
It shouldn't be the star and focus of each scene. A tired effort all around.
