Review of Sixty Six (2006) by Nat G — 24 Jul 2009
Although this is not the best film ever made, it does have a lot of charm. First there is a lot of original footage of the World Cup of '66, and some amazing colour film of the final at Wembly. Other than the colour footage that I had not seen before, there is not a lot to this film.
The comedy is fairly mild, the acting is ok Helena Bonham Carter role is a delight, and Catherine Tate is not so good. Overall this film doesn't leave much to the imagination, but it will fill an enjoyable hour and a half, without having to do much thinking.
