Review of Sixteen Candles (1984) by Margot N — 22 Feb 2010
This movie is a perfect, awesome time-capsule for the 80s, because it portrays the times perfectly and in every tiny detail. The plot, of course, is ridiculous and highly unlikely (a guy and girl fall in love without EVER speaking, and end up together that same night), but still sweet.
A little racist, but Gedde Watanabe actually completely steals the show in this movie.
