Review of Six Degrees of Separation (1993) by Stephanie H — 29 May 2009
Underrated in general. It's not perfect, but it is misunderstood by the average movie-goer. People say that the acting was bad, but that's an ignorant view point. A great deal of what the movie was about had to do with hw rich people are just acting, putting on a front and not accounting for who they really are or what they really want in life.
Paul's character was able to put on that front easily, and in the dialogue where he is using his own voice, we see the excellent acting that we know of all Will Smith's work. Sutherland and Channing are also excellent in this one.
