Review of Sita Sings the Blues (2008) by David L — 10 Jun 2013
Pretty neat. It was a weird mix of autobiographical sketches, reinterpretations of The Ramayana as 1920s jazz numbers in a South Park/Betty Boop/Cartoon Network style, and pop-Indian Indonesian shadow puppets (for whatever reason).
While I sort of lost interest with the kinda stilted Flash animation, it's pretty impressive that it was all animated by one woman.
