Oh Mr. DePalma...how you torture me! There's a lot to like in the first 20 minutes of the film which unfortunately fizzles out as it unspools. DePalma starts to show techniques that would become his trademarks down the line.
Like most DePalma films it has an intriguing premise but the filler doesn't hold up...even as you are watching it you see it becoming more and more convoluted. Still...for a while it's an entertaining watch and I can only wonder what DePalma would do if given the chance to punch up the script.
