Review of Sister Helen (2002) by Sv G — 30 Jul 2011
This documentary is a character study of a tough love nun in the South Bronx who runs a drug & alcohol halfway house in an old rat infested building. She doesn't become a nun until she is 56 after the deaths of her husband and son.
She is foul mouthed, loud and sometimes you cannot help but notice she is playing for the camera, but its a great "true story", and she was a most unusual angel to those she helped.
