It's definitely not a waste of time. The atmosphere and cinematography are very creepy and unsettling and the acting is excellent. I did feel it had some "excess baggage" it didn't need; some horror logic moments, the night terrors were an unnecessary construct and the children were frankly just annoying, not scary.
Still entertaining, good for a couple of jumpscares and general creepy vibes.
