Review of Sinister (2012) by Lars P — 24 Aug 2015
Sinister is a very enjoyable horror movie due to the fact that it doesn't join the long line of horrors with terrible stories. Instead its the movies strongest feature along with the characters, especially Ethan Hawke who is evidently suited to the horror genre.
The plot is simple yet effective, its told well also even if the jump scares are predictable and its weakest area. That didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of a solid supernatural horror movie which doesn't something different with familiar settings, its suspenseful, unnerving and very satisfying to watch.
