Review of Sinister (2012) by Yusuf S — 08 Sep 2013
This film is certainly not lacking in gruesome and scary images. And they were not silly gimmicks but were actually horrifying images of death by hanging, burning, drowning, neck cutting and finally axe hacking.
Ethan Hawke with his moody demeanour did a nice job as the writer trying to uncover the mystery of the murder of the previous family by hanging that inhabited the house he and his family just moved in.
Cameo appearance of Vincent D'Onofrio plus Ethan Hawke made this movie compelling to watch. Have come a long way since Dead Poet's Society, I really hope to see Ethan Hawke in better roles for future.
Perhaps in new picture by Peter Weir.
