Review of Sinister (2012) by Connor A — 31 Mar 2014

I really liked this new play on "found footage". the clips are set to an unrelated musical score. The murders, expertly handled. The cutaways spooked me out. Unfortunately the movie made very little sense.

Ethan Hawke did a great job.The son with the lady hair sleepwalked but they called it night terrors. The little girl, who stole her painting style from Lascaux Caves, was always sneaking around. I feel like if he had a more realistic family with a wife who was truly behind him it wouldn't have worked.

In one scene she threatens to take the kids if the book turns out bad. I actually look away when she's in a scene because she's such moron. I like the scary parts a lot.
