Review of Sinister (2012) by Kaptajn Jack A — 14 Jun 2014

I'm normally not a fan of the modern boogie movies, but as with The Conjouring, I was lucky to see a movie that uses some very neat tricks to scare you.

The acting is top-notch and the soundtrack itself, supports the "sinister" feeling this movie has at all times.

Don't watch the trailers as they give away too much.

The pictures in this movie are top notch and creative. I don't know how I would describe this movie, but it has some twists and uses them quite well.

I would say it's a mix of Seven and hmmm well, something occult. I find the ideas presented in this movie quite original. It's a slowburner that opens up to a claustrophobic nightmare, and you get the sense of breething becoming harder and harder.

I loved the ending, it was quite blunt!
