Overall, the plot was interesting and the characters were genuine. The main character's decision to continue trying to solve these murder mysteries after he had seen proof of the supernatural elements involved was the only point in the movie that "defied logic" as many reviews claim.
Obviously this unnatural lapse in judgment occured in order to reveal the chilling ending.
