Review of Sinister (2012) by The V — 10 May 2014

This film was too dark and I don't mean story wise or gore or scares or whatever. It literally was always too dark. Gave the film a nice appeal, but was oddly funny. Why not try turning on a light switch? Big plot hole obviously.

However, the movie did succeed by being very different. The whole haunted house theme isn't what this movie is about exactly. It's more close with the possession theme meets the boogeyman. The ending was a bit silly though, but the atmosphere was nicely done.

Even if the film was uneven at times.
