Review of Sinister (2012) by Matt C — 09 Dec 2014
I'm not easily scared and modern horror on the whole doesn't do much for me but this was genuinely tense, its imagery was frightening and the jump scares got me more than a few times. The cast is really good, the sound effects ratchet up the tension even more and I sure as hell didn't see the ending coming.
