Review of Sinister 2 (2015) by Vickie V — 20 Aug 2015

Sinister is one of my absolute favorite modern horror movies so I was REALLY hoping they wouldn't come up with a lame sequel but unfortunately that's exactly what they did.

There are some redeeming qualities in the movie. The characters are good and the premise of the story is decent but they really could have done away with some of the cheap horror movie tactics (like the boogeyman photo bombs).

The "snuff" film footage was original and creepy but definitely lost some of it's shock power after the first film.

It wasn't a horrible movie on its on but certainly was if you compare it to part one. So much promise but it comes apart at the end.
