Review of Sinister 2 (2015) by Travis H — 23 Aug 2015

I loved the 1st film, so I wanted to give this film a chance, unfortunately it was filled with so many jumpscares, was unnecessarily violent, had one dimensional characters (the mom, deputy and the Dylan character were ok).

baguul is creepy looking on his own but the reason why I wasn't as scared of him as I was in the original film is that we see him way too much in this film, and because we see him a lot I was more comfortable seeing him on screen, with the exception of the electrocution video the super 8 videos ranged from bland to just bad.

because they are trying to up the stakes by adding gore...that's not scary, it's gross, the original film had that stuff but it was more implied, the kids were in the film so much I wondered if they were thinking of making a "Children of the corn" film and at the last second they decided to change it to "Sinister 2".

overall, this isn't the worst film ive seen but it still wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be, and there's a,lot more I can discuss, but I think you all get the point.
