Review of Sinister 2 (2015) by Spencer K — 08 Mar 2016

I was a huge fan of the first Sinister, so I was interested in this. I was hoping we'd get some more backstory and insight on Bughuul, and we got some but I would've liked some more. the lead actress gives a commendable performance and the kids aren't too bad either.

there was some genuinely creepy moments, but I wished it was a little scarier. I think the real horror in the film isn't Bughuul or the tapes (which are very creepy and disturbing) but it's the abuse present between the family that is the real horror aspect of the film.

a decent, entertaining enough horror sequel that I however wished was a little scarier.
