Review of Single White Female (1992) by Emma Jane P — 08 Sep 2007
Thriller about a NYC career woman who has just broken up her engagement. Her situation worsens when she ends up sharing her Upper West Side apartment with another woman, who turns out is psychotic. Barbet Schroeder's undeniably silly and predictable thriller could've been much better than this.
The intriguing plot had a lot of potential, but the filmmakers gave a less-than-satisfying treatment. Still, the movie still manages to be somewhat entertaining, and the two female leads act well enough.
