My absolute favourite and in my humble opinon the perfect film.

The time it represents is well captured by its own comical nature. It takes us on a tour through good, old Hollywood like we have never seen it before. Everything is cheerful, full of colour and glorifies a time when film was but a thing of entertainment. Sit back, forget your stress and just enjoy stories being told. I love this film.

Seldom have I ever seen more loveable characters. Donald O'Connor as Cosmo Brown is outworldish when it comes to likability and charisma. We see a so underrated actor doing what he does best and get his chance to make his mark.

Then we of course have Gene Kelly as Don Lockwood and what bad can you say about his performance? It is up to par with everyone else and his dedication towards the whole film is remarkable.

I have to say that in Lina Lamont (Hean Hagen) we have one of the better villains in film. One naturally underestimates her but her plan in the end is actually cunning. All the better the moment when her own stupidity ruins it once again.

I must seem like a total fanboy but there is no film that cheers me up more than this piece of work.
