Review of Singin' in the Rain (1952) by Rachael S — 05 Apr 2015
Starring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynold and Donald O'Connor. Probably the best movie musical of all time is essentially about sound itself. Kelly is a matinee idol of the late silent movie era, who has a problem with the advent of sound because his leading lady Jean Hagen has an awful voice.
Singer Debbie Reynolds is enlisted to dub for her. Directed by Stanley Donen.
