Review of Singin' in the Rain (1952) by Andy F — 10 Jul 2017
Absolutely deserves every accolade as the best movie musical ever. Sly, funny, witty, charming, exuberant, stunning. Though a lot of controversy between Stanley Donnen and Gene Kelly as far as who deserves credit for directing this masterpiece, they got co-credit so leave it at that.
Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor come close to stealing the show. Infectious Golden Hollywood magic at its best.
