Review of Singin' in the Rain (1952) by Raja N — 14 Jan 2012
Glorious. The fifties gave us many memorable musicals, but this one has remained in the hearts and ears of many, and continues to attract new generations of film fanatics. It is no small feat to create a film that is beautifully simple, dazzlingly entertaining AND able to capture the hearts of those that didn't live through the same landscape.
Singin' in the Rain is a jewel in the history of cinema, a true American triumph.
