Review of Singin' in the Rain (1952) by Evan D — 04 Mar 2013
Easily my favorite musical of all time, and one of my favorite movie as well. I have seen this film 7 times, and it still hasn't gotten old. Every time I watch the film, I always sing along to the classic songs.
watching Gene Kelly dance made me wish I was him. A musical that is greatly backed up by a terrific story about Hollywood's transition. Perhaps my favorite part of the movie was the flop preview of the Dueling Cavalier.
I just erupt with laughter every time the sound runs out of sync with the picture and causes Lina Lamont and her captive to switch voices "Man: No, No, No - Lina: Yes, Yes, Yes". I hope one day my local theater decides to do this musical, because I'd be the first to audition for Don Lockwood.
