Review of Sing Street (2016) by Zack H — 29 May 2016
My favorite movie of the year so far. This is the first movie this year that is not only unique but alive. Not even the most praised movies of the year had both of these qualities. Civil War had a pulse but was completely devoid of any originality, Green Room was really original but laid lifeless and cold.
Sing Street has a lot of heart, charming characters, a unique set up, and a killer soundtrack. If you have a chance I urge you to see Sing Street.
