Review of Sing Street (2016) by Robby K — 15 Aug 2016
A film that cannot be defined by a single genre. "Sing Street" mixes the 80's vibe with relatable characters and a perfectly crafted story, all the while having multiple messages and themes throughout the entirety of its duration.
There isn't a single emotion you won't feel or a character you won't care for. All of the performances are wonderful especially Jack Reynor who portrays the older brother of the main protagonist.
The themes range from brotherhood to young love to self-belief and many others in between. Everything down to the progression of the songs in the movie is flawless. This is a perfect film.
