Review of Sing Street (2016) by Zack E — 02 Jan 2017
Sing Street is like wrapping up in a warm blanket on a crisp cool day. It's exactly what you want and need. The acting is well done, particularly by so many unknown young actors, and the songs are incredibly catchy.
You will be almost certainly humming at least one of these songs to yourself for days after. This is director John Carney's third music related feature, and I'd have to say it's his best. All the quibbles I had with Once and Begin Again are gone here.
Sing Street is an excellent watch, and a must see for lovers of the 80s, coming of age films, or music.
