Review of Sing Street (2016) by Fabian J — 08 Jul 2016
If guache had a portrait it would framed by Sing Street. Like an episode from Happy Days this ill conceived attempt to look back in wonder is not so much auto-biographical as auto-ridiculous. He's supposed to be fifteen and yet he's cranking out the lyrics of a thirty year old and she's supposed to 16 and yet has all the knowing charms of a crack whore.
Painful to watch and pretty painful to listen to.
