Review of Sing (2016) by Peter W — 19 Feb 2017
2/13/17 I wrote a LONG review of this 2 weeks ago, but it didn't save when I posted it. So annoyed. This was the first movie that we took Dylan to at the theater, so it was a fun experience. He got to see a 3D movie for the first time, and it was a good film, even for adults.
We went to a friday matinee on 1/20/17 at the Star Southfield, and the theater had no one else in it until one other family came in right at the end of the previews (we didn't know they da about 20 minutes of previews).
Dylan was really excited when the movie started and he kept leaning over to give me and Erika kisses. It was a bit long for him, and we had been sitting there almost 30 minutes before the film even started, so he wore out after about an hour and 15 before he was saying he was ready to go home.
But I held him on my lap and he made it through the whole thing. He really loved it, and I even thought it was a good story. I truly didn't know how the plot was going to go, so it was nice to see a kid's film that wasn't predictable.
I would recommend this to anyone, but it was especially fun for us taking the little boy.
