If Sing's first and second acts were as great as its third I have no doubt this film would be among of Illumination's best work. However this is not the case and what we get is a ensemble plot that fails to develop any of the characters in a meaningful way.
I would recommend waiting to rent this film on a streaming service when it becomes available.
