Review of Sing (2016) by Fantasy F — 02 Jan 2017
This was a good film. Everything about it was really cute. Unfortunatley, that's all that can really be said. The story has been told hundreds of times before, the characters we know very well (The crazy theater owner, the shy one, the overworked mom, etc.
) The story is good, the characters are likeable, but there are so many stories and backstories to them it's hard to really get invested with one of them. And the story, well, we all had a basic idea of how it would end.
It held no surprise. It was a good flm, but not as good as Illumiation has done. Compare this to the Despicable Me franchise, and you'll see what I mean.
