"Sing" was easily a feel good movie for children and even adults with a very awkward but interesting concept. The Plot to "Sing" is Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Buster Moon a dapper koala who presides over a once-grand theatre that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal-some might even say delusional-optimist who loves his theatre above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now faced with the crumbling of his life's ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition.

The Directing in "Sing" is not all amazing like people hope it would be with it being a bit choppy. Some of the reason for this is the I don't think both directors "Christophe Lourdelet" and "Garth Jennings" work that great together. Saying the the Directing isn't terrible, just a bit choppy. But the voice work in this is exceptional. "Mathew McConaughey" has already proved him self as an amazing live action actor but with his first job voice acting in "Sing" I think he's proven himself to have a lot of range. "Reese Witherspoon" also does a great job as Rosita in this film especially also being her first job in voice acting. The characters in this film are mostly great but some do get annoying at times and you sometimes want to start shouting at the screen out of annoyance telling the characters what to do. The most annoying character in this film is the elephant with her being super shy for no good reason as they didn't really explain her backstory and the person who voiced her not doing a great job. But once again the two leads Buster Moon voiced by "McConaughey" and Rosita voiced by "Witherspoon" bring it home as being some of the most loveable characters in any animation film I've seen to this day. The Screenwriting was great but didn't go in depth enough and didn't show enough development with a couple of characters. But the screenplay did a many issues within the last act with many characters being forgotten about on then to be re-introduced at the end and extremely un-realistic (even for a movie about singing animals) moments.

The music in this is mostly just a bunch of pop songs with some exceptions but believe it or not the singing/music is not the best part of the movie even though the film is called "Sing". The animation in "Sing" is exceptionally beautiful, especially with a small budget for animation of around $75 Million. The pacing in this movie is a bit choppy near the beginning but then once it gets into things it gets really well paced and very entertaining. there is one amazing scene just a bit after half way that catches you so off guard because everything seems to be going well and the movie makes you think that nothing will go wrong until well it does.

Overall "Sing" was an okay directed film with a few pacing issues near the beginning but is restored from that with amazing voice work from "Mathew McConaughey" and "Reese Withersoon", Loveable characters with few exceptions and beautiful animation. I give 2016's "Sing" a 6/10.
